A creature that lives around deep-sea hydrothermal vents, where scalding water gushes up.
Its red body is faintly visible through the hazy plumes of rising vent water. It hides in the cracks between warm boulders, and when it searches for food, it probes its surroundings with its long legs. When a small crustacean wanders close, it snatches it up in an instant.
